Job summary

Henis Group in Wellford, SC seeks an experienced MRO Buyer to source maintenance, repair, and operations supplies for an established manufacturer. You will own day-to-day purchasing and support materials used in the company’s products.

The role requires organization, responsiveness, and the ability to balance priorities while maintaining material availability and controlling costs. You’ll collaborate with Maintenance, Production, Engineering and other teams to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Purchase maintenance parts, tools, equipment, shop supplies, safety supplies, and other indirect materials.
• Obtain quotes, evaluate suppliers, and process purchase orders according to company policies.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, freight costs, and delivery schedules.
• Source new suppliers and identify alternative or equivalent parts to improve availability, reduce costs, and maintain supply continuity.
• Work with Maintenance, Production, Engineering, and other departments to prioritize purchasing needs.
• Track and expedite open orders and resolve shortages, delivery delays, and supplier quality concerns.
• Monitor MRO inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of regularly used materials.
• Support purchasing for inventoried production materials and components, including supplier follow-up, returns, and outside material processing.
• Coordinate with Production Planning and Inventory Control to address material availability and support production schedules.
• Work with Receiving and Accounts Payable to resolve shipment, purchase order, pricing, and invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, item, and purchasing records in the company's ERP system and shared documents.
• Provide purchasing coverage and support across the team as needed.

About the Opportunity

Henis Group is recruiting an experienced MRO Buyer for an established manufacturer in Wellford, SC. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this position will source and purchase maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies, replacement parts, tools, equipment, and other indirect materials that keep plant operations running efficiently.

In addition to owning day-to-day MRO purchasing, you'll support the purchasing team with materials and components used in the company's manufactured products. What We're Looking For

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain, procurement, business, or a related field.
• At least four years of purchasing-related experience.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to changing needs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
