Job summary

Kymera International in Durham, NC is seeking an Inventory Control & Storeroom Specialist to manage MRO parts and supplies, ensure accurate data in CMMS/ERP, and maintain a well-stocked storeroom supporting plant maintenance and equipment reliability.

You will receive and verify shipments, issue parts, perform cycle counts, coordinate with Maintenance and Purchasing, and help establish stock levels and reorder points to prevent stockouts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two+ years of experience in inventory control, MRO storeroom operations, industrial parts, warehouse operations, maintenance support, or related manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with industrial maintenance parts and equipment strongly preferred.
• Experience using a CMMS, ERP, warehouse management, or inventory management system preferred.
• Experience with cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, receiving, and material issuing preferred.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and computer-based recordkeeping.
• Forklift or powered industrial truck experience preferred; site-required certification must be obtained.
• Demonstrates the ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance in accordance with established work schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory quantities, storage locations, equipment associations, transactions, and item-master data in the CMMS or ERP system.
• Receive, inspect, and verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips; label and store materials appropriately.
• Issue parts to authorized personnel and inspect and restock returned or unused materials.
• Perform cycle counts, support physical inventories and audits, investigate discrepancies, and implement practical corrections.
• Partner with Maintenance and Purchasing to maintain critical spare parts and establish stock levels and reorder points.
• Initiate replenishment requests and coordinate with Purchasing to prevent stockouts; monitor open orders and backorders.
