Job summary

UofL Health in Louisville is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI scanners, prepare patients, and ensure safety protocols are followed. You will obtain histories, explain procedures, and maintain patient records while supporting quality assurance activities.

This role requires MR Radiologic Technology certification, BLS, and Kentucky license preferred; prior MRI experience is a plus. Weekend shift coverage is required within a dynamic academic health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MR Radiologic Technology program (required)
• Experience in MRI (preferred)
• Valid Kentucky Radiation Operator’s License strongly preferred
• ARRT certification in MR (required within 2 years of employment)
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment (required)

Responsibilities

• Operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain diagnostic images
• Prepares and administers contrast media per policy and regulations
• Obtains patient history and screening forms, explains procedures
• Maintains patient records and performs QA on the MRI scanner
• Follows safety protocols and PPE usage at all times
• Supports department quality assurance and compliance programs
