Job summary

UofL Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment and produce diagnostic images for physicians in Louisville, KY. You will implement safety protocols for high-field systems, prepare and administer contrast media, and help maintain patient records and quality assurance activities.

The role requires graduation from an accredited MR Radiologic Technology program, and ARRT certification with MR credentials within two years, plus Kentucky license requirements.

Qualifications

  • Must graduate from an accredited MR radiologic technology program.
  • ARRT MR certification preferred or required within 2 years of employment.
  • ARRT in Radiography and Kentucky license where applicable.
  • Experience in MRI is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Operates MRI scanner to obtain diagnostic images with physician guidance.
  • Ensures patient safety and high-field strength safety protocols.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media per hospital policy.
  • Obtains patient history and explains routine procedures to patients.
  • Maintains patient records and performs MRI quality assurance.
  • Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements at all times.
