Job summary

UofL Health, Inc. is seeking an MRI Technologist for weekend shifts at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. The role requires operating the MRI scanner, coordinating with radiologists, and ensuring patient safety in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities include preparing contrast media, screening patients, maintaining records, and contributing to quality assurance programs. ARRT MR certification and Kentucky licensure are preferred; BLS within 30 days is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of MR Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT certification in MR (within 2 years of employment or transfer).
• Kentucky Radiation Operator’s License strongly preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MR imaging procedures to support accurate diagnoses and patient care.
• Ensure safety with high magnetic field strength; use PPE and follow safety protocols.
• Prepare and administer contrast media according to hospital policy and regulations.
• Obtain patient history, screen forms, explain procedures, and address concerns.
• Maintain patient records and complete documentation; perform QA on MRI scanner as needed.
• Comply with HIPAA privacy and security requirements; maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Participate in department and hospital quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction.
• Maintain licensure and engage in ongoing professional development.
