Job summary

UofL Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate the MRI scanner, obtain diagnostic images, and ensure patient safety and comfort. You will prepare and administer contrast media, review patient history, and maintain records in a fast-paced radiology setting.

The role supports quality assurance programs, adheres to HIPAA, and requires ARRT MR certification within 2 years of employment. A Kentucky Radiation Operator’s license is strongly preferred, with BLS from the American Heart Association

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MR Radiologic Technology program.
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety and patient care practices.
• Experience with maintaining regulatory compliance and quality assurance in radiology.

Responsibilities

• Operates the MRI scanner to obtain diagnostic images as directed by radiologists.
• Administers contrast media in accordance with policy and regulations.
• Obtains patient history and screens for safety; explains procedures and addresses concerns.
