Job summary

UofL Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment, ensure patient safety, and support diagnostic imaging for various pathologies. The role includes screening, contrast administration, and maintaining accurate patient records in a high‑safety environment.

Candidates should have an accredited MR Radiologic Technology background, ARRT MR certification, and Kentucky licensure. Prior MRI experience is preferred; BLS certification is expected soon after employment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MR Radiologic Technology program.
• Maintains ARRT MR certification and Kentucky license requirements.
• Demonstrates knowledge of MRI safety and patient screening.
• Follows HIPAA and facility policies at all times.
• Experience in MRI is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanner to obtain diagnostic images per radiologist guidance.
• Prepare patients, screen for safety, and explain procedures.
• administer contrast media according to policy and regulations.
• Maintain patient records and QA on the MRI system.
• Comply with safety, privacy, and quality initiatives.
