Job summary

UofL Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment, ensure image quality, and support radiology workflows on-site at University Hospital in Louisville.

The role requires MR credentialing, Kentucky license eligibility, and BLS certification within 30 days. You will collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and support staff to deliver safe, high-quality patient care in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MR radiologic technology program.
• ARRT MR certification within 2 years of employment or transfer.
• Valid Kentucky Radiation Operator’s License (strongly preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) credentials within 30 days (required).

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to acquire diagnostic images per Radiologist protocols.
• Prepare and administer contrast media per hospital policy and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain patient records and screening forms, document procedures.
• Perform quality assurance checks on the MRI scanner and recommend improvements.
• Adhere to safety standards and PPE requirements at all times.
