Job summary

UofL Health in Louisville is seeking an MRI Technologist for Mary and Elizabeth Hospital to operate the MRI scanner, obtain high-quality images, and support patient safety and comfort during procedures.

The candidate should be a graduate of an accredited MR Radiologic Technology program, and obtain ARRT MR certification within 2 years of employment; Kentucky Radiation Operator’s License is preferred, and BLS within 30 days is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MR Radiologic Technology program is required.
• Previous MRI experience is preferred.
• KY Radiation Operator’s License is strongly preferred.
• ARRT MR certification within 2 years of employment or transfer is required.
• BLS certification (AHA) within 30 days of employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Ensure patient safety and compliance with safety goals; use PPE as required.
• Maintain patient records and QA for the MRI scanner.
• Explain procedures and address patient concerns; obtain history and screening forms.
• Contribute to department quality assurance and safety initiatives.
