Job summary

Akumin is hiring for an MRI Technologist to perform and optimize cross-sectional imaging for diagnostic interpretation. You will ensure patient safety, screen for contraindications, verify orders, and coordinate care with radiologists and staff.

The role requires ARRTMR certification, state licensure, ACLS (within 30 days), and ability to work across multiple Elite Radiology locations. Competitive benefits and comprehensive training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ARRT(MR) certification and state license required.
• ACLS certification or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to work at several locations as needed.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic MRI images per imaging protocols.
• Pre-screen patients for Contra-indications and verify orders.
• Maintain patient safety and manage MRI zones per policy.
• Administer and document contrast administration per laws and policies.
• Operate MRI systems and related hardware/software (PACS/DICOM).
• Train and orient new technologists and assistants as needed.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other staff to ensure timely interpretation.
