Job summary

Akumin is seeking an MRI Technologist for our Kirkman facility to perform high-quality MR studies and ensure patient safety on site. You will work with radiologists, technologists, and staff to deliver accurate imaging and excellent patient care, with opportunities to train new staff and support remote workflows when needed.

The role requires ARRT MR certification (or ARMRIT), appropriate state licensure, CPR, and the ability to travel between locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT licensure.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR Certification.
• Valid state driver's license, as applicable.
• MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT: No experience required.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.
• The COVID-19 vaccination is/may be a condition of employment.
• Local travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique and may require remote MR Technologists Assistant oversite.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images. Operation of multiple MR systems may be required.
• Demonstrates the ability to use all channels of communications to address concerns, solve problems, and address conflict.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains and orients new technologists, patient coordinators and MR Technologist Assistants, on site and/or remote.
• Other duties as assigned.
