Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist for our Dallas-area facilities in a PRN capacity. The role emphasizes patient safety, high-quality imaging, and effective collaboration with radiologists and patients.

Required ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT credentials when applicable, state license if required, and CPR/BLS; ACLS as needed. Candidates should have at least 3 years of technologist experience and be able to work across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT preferred.
• State license if applicable; CPR/BLS; ACLS if required.
• Minimum 3 years technologist experience; ability to work at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety with pre-screening and access control; oversee MR staff when needed.
• Produce high quality diagnostic MR images following protocols and standards.
• Communicate with radiologists and patients while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality.
• Demonstrate contrast safety and administration, including IVs and vascular access.
• Train and orient new technologists and MR assistants, on site or remotely.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by leadership.
