Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist for our Arlington facility to perform diagnostic MRI exams, manage contrast administration, and support licensed practitioners in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT, applicable state license, and at least 3 years of technologist experience; candidates must be flexible to cover shifts across locations and maintain imaging quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification where allowed by contract.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR/BLS/ACLS as applicable.
• Minimum 3 years technologist experience.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational, multi-tasking and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic MRI images per imaging protocols and ARRT/ARMRIT standards.
• Prepare, administer and document contrast administration.
• Ensure patient safety and HIPAA compliance.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and staff.
• Train and orient other technologists and assistants as needed.
• Cover shifts as a per-diem technologist across sites.
