Job summary

Akumin in Dallas, TX is seeking an MRI Technologist for a PRN/part-time position across our Dallas facilities. You will ensure patient safety, perform high-quality diagnostic imaging following RadSite and ARRT/ARMRIT standards, and operate EMR, PACS and DICOM systems.

You will train new technologists and support staff, while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality and patient-centered care. Requirements include ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT, state license where applicable, CPR/BLS, and at least 3 years of

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowable by contract.
• State license, if applicable, required.
• CPR/BLS (AHA/ARC) certification mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years technologist experience.
• Ability to work at several locations and travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for patient safety and screening as needed.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic MR images per imaging protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Demonstrate competency with contrast safety and administration.
• Operate EMR, PACS, and DICOM systems for image sharing.
• Train and orient new technologists and aides as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
