Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking an MRI Technologist to prepare patients and perform routine MRI procedures in accordance with physician orders and the procedure manual. You will produce high quality images and present them for radiologist interpretation, while supporting the organization’s mission and commitment to quality service.

Qualifications

• Six months’ relevant experience required (minimum of three in MRI OR successful completion of cross-training).
• American Heart Association CPR required.
• Advanced level certification by the ARRT or ARMRIT in MRI required within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for MRI examinations by verifying orders and patient identities.
• Perform MRI examinations across age groups and maintain competency.
• Greet patients and visitors professionally and address needs promptly.
• Answer phones courteously and facilitate radiology communications.
• Maintain safety by following MRI procedures and safety practices.
• Document and report patient data to support timely billing and operations.
