Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare in Georgia is seeking an MRI Technologist to prepare patients and perform MRI procedures in accordance with physicians’ orders and the procedure manual. The MRI Technologist produces high quality images and presents them for Radiologist interpretation to support timely diagnosis.

Responsibilities include patient verification, safety protocols, equipment readiness, and commitment to quality care for patients, families, and staff, with occasional Saturdays as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Six months’ relevant experience required (minimum of three in MRI or completion of cross-training).
• American Heart Association CPR required.
• Advanced level certification by the ARRT or ARMRIT in MRI within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for MRI examinations by confirming orders and patient identity.
• Perform MRI examinations across age groups and maintain competency.
• Adhere to policies to ensure safe, efficient operations and quality patient care.
• Maintain safety practices and educate staff on MRI safety.
