Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking an MRI Technologist to prepare patients and perform MRI exams in accordance with physicians’ orders and the procedure manual. You will produce high-quality images and present them to Radiologists for timely interpretation while maintaining safety and patient care standards.

The role requires CPR and ARRT/ARMRIT MRI certification within one year, with six months of MRI experience preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required (AHA).
• ARRT or ARMRIT MRI certification required within one year of hire.
• Six months MRI experience or completed cross-training program.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for MRI examinations by confirming orders and verifying identities.
• Performs MRI exams on all patient age groups and maintains competency.
• Adheres to policies to ensure quality patient care and safety.
• Ensures safe environment and proper screening for MRI safety procedures.
• Greets patients and communicates effectively with staff and physicians.
• Documents data for accurate billing and department operations.
