Job summary

Atrium Health in Winston-Salem, NC seeks an MRI Technologist to examine requests, verify orders and perform MRI studies. You will prep patients, obtain consent, manage IV contrast, and ensure safety protocols are followed. The role includes weekend shifts and full-time schedule.

Responsibilities include communicating with Radiologists, documenting findings, and assisting during invasive procedures while maintaining patient comfort and safety throughout all scans.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized radiologic or nuclear medicine program.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Exams orders are verified with Radiologist before proceeding.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Interview patients for medical history and review EMRs for pertinent data.
• Lead exam from start to dictated results.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast as per protocol.
• Evaluate image quality and consult Radiologist as needed.
• Perform MRI scanning and assist in invasive procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and radiation safety.
