Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a MRI Technologist for overnight shifts. You will perform MRI exams, manage IV contrast, and ensure patient safety and diagnostic quality in accordance with BIDMC policies.

Essential duties include patient preparation, screening for implants, selecting pulse sequences, and delivering completed studies to PACS. Requires ARRT/ARMRIT/CAMRT registration and 0–1 year experience; BLS within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in radiological technology or allied health with JRCERT accreditation.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• ARRT or ARMRIT or CAMRT MR Technologist registration required by start date.
• 0–1 year related work experience required.
• New hires must obtain BLS certification within 60 days (AHA).
• New hires must be ARRT/ARMRIT/CAMRT registered by start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patients for MRI exams with appropriate equipment and setup.
• Screens patients for ferrous metals and contraindications.
• Selects pulse sequences and records procedures; adjusts protocols as needed for diagnostic quality.
• Assesses image quality and completes imaging with PACS submission.
• Ensures patient comfort, explains procedures and communicates effectively.

Education

Associate's degree in radiological technology or allied health

Bachelor's degree preferred

ARRT/ARMRIT/CAMRT MR Technologist registration

60 days to provide BLS certification (AHA)
