Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI studies, prepare patients, and ensure image quality. You will operate MRI equipment, perform QC, and document procedures in the EMR, while collaborating with radiologists and nursing staff.

The role requires safety education, patient monitoring, and cross‑coverage across MRI scanners. Onsite work with a 36-hour weekly schedule and a $20,000 sign‑on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• MRI technologist licensed or eligible within one year of hire.
• Ability to operate complex MRI equipment and perform quality control procedures.
• Experience with IV insertions and contrast injections; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients on MRI safety and respond to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and exam details per Joint Commission standards.
• Conduct MRI scans for ambulatory patients, including image acquisition and processing.
• Safely perform IV insertions and contrast injections; document in the EMR.
• Educate patients and visitors on MRI safety and respond to equipment-related emergencies.
• Perform scheduled quality control checks on MRI equipment and report issues.
• Assist with scheduling, patient transport, inventory, and filing.
