Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our radiology team. Under the direct supervision of the Radiologist, you will perform diagnostic MRI exams and ensure imaging quality and patient comfort across all ages.

Required education includes an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT-accredited training, and ARDMS or ARRT radiography certification with BCLS. Prior experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Education: AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT-accredited training.
• Licensing: ARDMS or ARRT Radiography registration.
• CPR/BCLS certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations under Radiologist supervision.
• Ensure image quality and patient safety across neonatal to geriatric patients.
• Provide patient care and support throughout MRI procedures.

Responsibilities

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
