Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. You will perform magnetic resonance imaging to support physicians in diagnosing disease and conditions, while delivering compassionate patient care across neonatal to geriatric populations.

Experience is helpful but not required; ARDMS or ARRT certification and BCLS are required upon hire, with on-the-job training and guidance from a supervising Radiologist.

Qualifications

• AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• No experience required; 6 months as MRI Technologist preferred.
• ARDMS or ARRT Radiography registration required; BCLS required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist.
• Provide patient care to diverse age groups including neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
• Follow prescribed standards and protocols to support accurate diagnoses.

Responsibilities

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
