Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI exams under the supervision of a Radiologist. The role involves imaging a broad patient population and delivering high-quality patient care across age groups.

Requires an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited training; ARDMS/ARRT license and BCLS are required upon hire. No experience is required though 6 months as MRI Tech is preferred.

Qualifications

• AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program is required.
• No experience required.
• 6 months as an MRI Technologist preferred.
• Licenses: ARDMS or ARRT Radiographer Registered; BCLS required.

Responsibilities

• MRI technologists image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions using MRI equipment.
• Provide patient care across neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric ages.
• Work under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist.
• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations following prescribed standards.

Responsibilities

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
