Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI examinations under the Radiologist's supervision and provide compassionate patient care across all ages, from neonatal to geriatric. You will image anatomical and physiological conditions to support accurate diagnoses.

Experience is not required, but 6 months as MRI Technologist is preferred. ARDMS or ARRT registration and BCLS are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• No experience required; 6 months as MRI Technologist preferred.
• Licenses and Certifications: ARDMS or ARRT Radiographer Registered; BCLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations under supervision of Radiologist.
• Image anatomy and physiology to assist physicians in diagnosis.
• Provide patient care across all age groups (neonatal to geriatrics).

Responsibilities

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
