Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Georgia seeks an MRI Technologist to image anatomical and physiologic conditions using MRI and assist physicians in diagnosis.

Under radiologist supervision, you will perform diagnostic MR examinations and provide care for neonatal to geriatric patients, with a focus on safety and quality imaging.

Qualifications

• Education: AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training.
• No experience required; 6 months as MRI Technologist preferred.
• Licenses: ARDMS or ARRT Radiography registration and BCLS required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Image anatomical and/or physiologic conditions using MRI under the direct supervision of a Radiologist.
• Perform diagnostic MR examinations in accordance with prescribed standards.
• Provide patient care to neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities:

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
