Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Georgia is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI exams under Radiologist supervision, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety.

The role requires AMA/ JRCERT credentialed education and ARDMS or ARRT registration, with BCLS certification upon hire. Experience is preferred but not required, with a focus on compassionate patient care across all ages.

Qualifications

• Education: AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training.
• No experience required; six months as an MRI Technologist preferred.
• Licenses and certifications: ARDMS or ARRT radiography registration and BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations under the supervision of the Radiologist to assist with diagnosis.
• Provide patient care across neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Adhere to prescribed standards and ensure quality imaging for accurate interpretation.

Responsibilities

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
