Job summary

Advocate Health in Aurora, CO is seeking an MRI technologist to join a high-tech imaging team. The role offers full-time hours, a Monday–Friday schedule from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, with flexibility for alternative arrangements to support work-life balance.

You will operate advanced MR systems across diverse protocols, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute to patient care from history taking to post-processing. The team emphasizes growth and education in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of an accredited radiologic technology program and 2 years MRI technologist experience.
• MRI certification or RT registration with MRI authorization is required or obtained within specified timeframe.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 6 months unless exempt by leadership.

Responsibilities

• Operate MR equipment for basic to advanced diagnostic procedures including angiography, cardiac, functional, and specialized exams.
• Obtain patient history, verify orders, and administer contrast as directed.
• Position patients and select scanning factors to optimize image quality and ensure safety.
• Post-process images, label with patient details, and ensure accurate documentation and billing codes.
• Maintain equipment QA, report malfunctions, and evaluate new products.
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor staff; collaborate with departments on patient care after MRI procedures.
