Job summary

Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center is seeking a Weekend Program MRI Technologist to join a high-performing imaging team.

This 32-hour/week role blends cutting-edge MRI technology with a strong focus on patient care and work-life balance, in a state-of-the-art imaging environment with multiple MRI scanners and ongoing professional growth. You will competently operate MR equipment to perform a range of exams, obtain patient history, and administer contrast under the radiologist's direction, while

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• No experience required.
• Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and magnetic safety.
• Competent in IV and venipuncture.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills to work effectively with physicians, patients and other staff members.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic exams.
• Obtain patient history and verify requisitions to ensure exam accuracy.
• Prepare and administer contrast media under the Radiologist's direction.
• Position patients and adjust scanning factors to obtain appropriate images.
• Maintain records in the radiology information system and document billing codes.
• Identify equipment issues and perform QA tests; report malfunctions.
