Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a skilled MRI technologist to position patients, select technical factors, and perform data reformatting to ensure high-quality scans. You will manage IV contrast, transfer patients, and archive images while maintaining strict safety and documentation standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with radiologists, verifying studies in PACS, and supporting scheduling and billing processes.

Qualifications

• 2 yrs Radiology or MRI program graduate.
• ARRT Registry or ARMRIT certification.
• 1 hour annually in stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Position and immobilize patients for MRI exams.
• Perform post-processing of MRI data to enhance images.
• Operate MRI equipment and related support devices (PACS, disc drives).
• Transport patients to/from imaging table and explain procedures.
• Initiate IVs for contrast administration per policy.
• Archive images onto optical disks and verify study identification.
• Document patient history and charges for department records.
• Ensure safety standards and mandatory training are followed.
