Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a skilled MRI technologist to perform radiologic exams with emphasis on patient safety and accuracy. You will verify orders with a Radiologist, identify patients using two identifiers, and explain procedures prior to imaging.

Responsibilities include reviewing patient histories in EMRs, administering IV contrast per protocol, and ensuring complete documentation. You will support MRI safety and collaborate closely with physicians and staff to deliver high-quality imaging

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine program.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification is required.
• Ability to prepare patients and explain procedures clearly.
• Use two patient identifiers for accurate patient matching.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests, verify orders, and escalate discrepancies to the Radiologist before exams.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Review EMRs to obtain patient history and correlate results with the exam.
• Own the exam process from start to finish through dictated results.
• Administer IV contrast per protocol and document details.
