Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• ARRT MRI certification or ARMRIT registry eligibility with registry within 12 months.
• BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) valid through hire date.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician orders; educates patient about procedures and equipment.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice; monitors patient condition.
• Prepares equipment and supplies; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters; ensures safety and quality control; reports malfunctions.
• Positions patient and performs imaging; analyzes results; addresses image quality issues; transmits and reports scan results.
