Job summary

Advocate Health in North Carolina is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform MRI scans and support radiology procedures. You will ensure patient safety, document interactions, and collaborate with radiologists during complex exams.

The role requires ARRT-recognized training, MRI registry eligibility, and BLS certification, with a 40-hour workweek and full-time schedule in Union, NC.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• MRI ARRT registry eligible or ARMRIT program enrollment required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verify and refer orders to Radiologist when discrepancies exist.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Interview and document medical history; correlate with exam.
• Perform MRI scanning and assist during invasive procedures.
• Administer IV contrast per protocols and record details.
• Maintain radiation safety and report equipment malfunctions.
• Assist anesthesia when needed and ensure sterile technique.
