Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology or ARMRIT/ARRT registry eligible.
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology, ARRT or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine with advanced registry from the ARMRIT or ARRT in MRI required within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verify requests and refer discrepancies to the Radiologist before performing exams.
• Identify patients with two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Review EMRs to obtain pertinent clinical history and document on requisitions.
• Perform MRI scans and assist during invasive procedures with sterile technique.
• Maintain radiation safety and report equipment malfunctions.
• Assist anesthesia when needed and participate in code blue emergencies.
