Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a committed MRI Technologist to perform MRI scans and assist physicians during procedures at our North Carolina facility. The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate documentation, and collaboration with radiology staff.

The ideal candidate will maintain high standards for image quality and adhere to radiation safety guidelines. Responsibilities include verifying orders, preparing patients, and coordinating with radiologists.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine program.
• MRI registry eligibility or ARMRIT program required.
• MRI registry certification must be completed within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests, verify orders for each patient.
• Refer orders to Radiologist before exams.
• Identify and assist patients with explanations of procedures.
• Prepare patients with full explanations and document on worksheets.
• Interview patients for complete medical history.
• Review EMRs for pertinent clinical history.
• Record medical history on requisitions.
• Correlate lab data with exams and interpret results.
• Perform MRI scanning and assist during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and radiation safety standards.
• Maintain and document contrast administration as directed.
