Job summary

Advocate Health in North Carolina is seeking a part-time MRI Technologist (PRN as needed) to perform MRI scans, verify orders with radiologists, and ensure patient safety throughout the exam. You will identify patients (two identifiers), explain procedures, and document appropriately in the medical record.

ARRT MRI certification within one year and BLS are required. The role offers $42.00 per hour, PRN scheduling, and benefits eligibility according to Advocate Health policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an AMA-approved two-year Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• ARRT Radiologic Technology and NMTCB/MR registry eligibility within one year of hire.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders and communicate with Radiologist regarding discrepancies.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and prepare them for MRI with explanations.
• Review patient history and EMR data to support the exam.
• Perform MRI scans and ensure image quality; consult Radiologist as needed.
• Maintain safety protocols for radiation, contrast administration, and sterile technique.
