Job summary

Atrium Health Cabarrus MRI department is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. You will operate MRI scanners and related equipment with a high level of proficiency, including contrast injectors and monitoring devices.

You will verify orders with radiologists, prepare patients, obtain medical history, and document results. You will administer IV contrast, ensure radiation safety, assist in invasive procedures, and maintain

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Active enrollment in MRI ARRT registry or ARMRIT program; registry obtained within 1 year of hire.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI scanners and related equipment per protocol and standards.
• Verifies orders with radiologists; communicates discrepancies and contacts provider as needed.
• Prepares patients, explains procedures, and documents information in appropriate worksheets.
• Administers IV contrast per departmental protocols and records contrast type/amount.
• Maintains radiation safety, assists in invasive procedures, and ensures a clean, stocked work area.
