Job summary

Atrium Health Pineville seeks an MRI Technologist I to perform MRI procedures and operate MRI scanners and related equipment with proficiency. The role requires accurate patient preparation and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, preparing patients, administering contrast, evaluating image quality, and supporting Radiologists during procedures in a controlled environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• MRI ARRT registry eligibility or ARMRIT program required; registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with Radiologist before exam; address discrepancies.
• Prepare patients and obtain medical history; explain procedures.
• Perform MRI scans and assist physicians during procedures.
• Administer IV contrast per protocol and document usage.
• Maintain MRI safety and equipment; monitor patients and respond to emergencies.
