Job summary

Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte seeks an MRI Technologist I to perform procedures per departmental protocols. You will operate MRI scanners and related equipment with proficiency, ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation of results.

Responsibilities include verifying orders with the Radiologist, identifying and preparing patients, reviewing EMRs for history, administering IV contrast when appropriate, and maintaining equipment while upholding radiation safety

Qualifications

Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire; registry eligible required.
CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

Verify orders with the Radiologist before performing the exam; address discrepancies.
Identify and assist patients with clear explanations of procedures; prepare patients.
Review EMRs to obtain pertinent clinical history; document on requisitions.
Assume responsibility for the exam from start to completion of dictated results.
Prepare and administer IV contrast per department protocols; record type/amount as needed.
Evaluate image quality and consult Radiologist as needed; perform additional reconstructions as instructed.
