Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks an MRI Technologist to provide imaging services at the Feinberg Pavilion, supporting inpatient care operations. ALL SHIFTS AVAILABLE with a full-time night schedule: two 12-hour shifts + two 4-hour shifts weekly, plus every third weekend.

Join a patient-first team focused on safety, high-quality imaging, and compliant documentation in EPIC and Visage. ARRT MRI or ARMRIT certification within 12 months or 10+ years of experience is required with BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• ARRT MRI or ARMRIT certification within 12 months of hire or 10+ years directly relevant experience in lieu of certification.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in a hospital imaging setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient safety throughout the imaging process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care.
• Produce diagnostic-quality MRI images using approved protocols and professional standards.
• Apply professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
• Administers contrast in accordance with policy, including screening and monitoring for adverse events.
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Maintains documentation in EPIC and Visage, including exam setup, image routing, and result availability.
