Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an MRI Technologist to provide imaging services at the Feinberg Pavilion in Chicago. The role is a full-time day shift, scheduled for 40 hours per week, with on-site duties and on‑call rotation as needed.

Responsibilities include patient safety, acquiring diagnostic MRI images, contrast administration, equipment operation, and accurate documentation in EPIC/Visage. Benefits and career development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• ARRT MRI or ARMRIT certification.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post‑procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards.
• Applies professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
• Administers contrast in accordance with policy, including screening for contraindications and patient monitoring.
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time‑sensitive studies.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in medical record and image archive system, including exam set‑up, image routing, result availability and charging accuracy.
