Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an MRI Technologist to provide diagnostic MRI imaging at the Feinberg Pavilion and support inpatient care operations. This full-time day shift role is scheduled for 40 hours per week, with varied shifts and a weekend rotation.

The position emphasizes patient safety, protocol adherence and high-quality imaging in a fast-paced clinical environment. Qualified candidates graduate from an accredited Radiology Technologist Program with ARRT MRI or ARMRIT certification

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• ARRT MRI or ARMRIT certification.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient safety throughout the imaging process, including preparation, monitoring and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality MRI images using approved protocols and professional standards.
• Administers contrast per policy, including screening and monitoring for adverse events.
• Operates MRI equipment and maintains imaging room readiness and data entry in EPIC/Visage.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies; ensures accurate documentation and charging.
• Adheres to safety standards for MRI, radiation and infection prevention.
