Job summary

Northwestern Medicine's MRI Technologist role at Feinberg Pavilion delivers high-quality imaging and patient care within a dynamic inpatient setting.

This full-time night-shift position includes two 12-hour shifts from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. and two 4-hour shifts from 2:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., plus every third weekend; compliance with safety and regulatory standards is required. Northwestern Medicine is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• ARRT MRI or ARMRIT certification within 12 months of hire or 10+ years directly relevant experience in lieu of certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient safety throughout imaging; prepare, monitor, and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality MRI images using approved protocols.
• Applies professional judgment to optimize image quality and address challenges.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action if needed.
• Administers contrast per policy, including screening and monitoring.
• Operates MRI equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Maintains documentation in EPIC/Visage with exam setup, image routing, results, and charging accuracy.
• Adheres to values, ethics, compliance, radiation and MRI safety standards.
