Job summary

Mass General Brigham's MRI department seeks a registered MRI technologist to perform imaging studies safely and efficiently. You will prepare patients, position them, set imaging parameters, and acquire high-quality MRI images across rotating scanners at our Charles Street location.

Responsibilities include patient education on safety, IV/contrast administration, and collaboration with radiologists and nurses to ensure smooth workflow and patient care.

Qualifications

• MRI technologist with ARRT or ARMRIT certification; ARRT or ARMRIT required within 1 year.
• Education: Medical Imaging certificate or Associate degree in Medical Imaging.
• Experience: MRI tech experience with diverse patient populations (0–1 year).

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and exam details per Joint Commission standards.
• Conduct MRI scans for ambulatory/outpatient patients with image acquisition and processing.
• Safely perform IV insertions and contrast injections; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients on MRI safety and enforce safety protocols.
• Perform quality control checks on MRI equipment and assist with scheduling, patient transport, and inventory.
