Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI exams and collaborate with radiologists. This 7 on/7 off graveyard shift runs 8pm–6am and may include relocation assistance.

Qualified applicants should hold ARRT MR or ARMRIT credentials, BLS certification, and IV competency within 30 days of hire. Strong patient care and MRI safety are essential for success.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT cross-trained in MRI or MR credential.
• BLS for healthcare providers.
• IV competency within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: 1–2 years MRI technologist experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT/ARRT competency in MRI.
• Prepares patients, verifies orders, and schedules exams.
• Performs MRI exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality.
• Adheres to MRI safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality.
• Assists and instructs students and other MRI Techs in exam protocols and positioning.
• Provides patient education and ensures patient comfort.
• Practices infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operates MRI equipment and related information systems.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information and procedures.
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures.
