Job summary

Akumin is hiring a part-time MRI Technologist for our Laurinburg, NC facility. You will ensure patient safety and acquire high-quality MR images while coordinating with radiologists. The role includes training new technologists and patient coordinators, maintaining the unit, ordering supplies, and supporting patient transport.

The candidate should be ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registered, hold a state license if applicable, and maintain CPR certification along with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist or Magnetic Resonance Technologist, if applicable.
• Registered Technologist by ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS.
• State license must be current; CPR certification required.
• Active state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and perform high quality MR studies.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and customers.
• Train new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
• Assist with daily unit tasks: order supplies, clean unit, and support transport.

This will be a part time position.Regional resource responsible for patient safety and the performance of high quality MR studies. Insures effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary.
