Job summary

Akumin in Wellington, FL is seeking an MRI Technologist for a part-time position. You will ensure patient safety, prepare and position patients, and produce high-quality diagnostic images.

Responsibilities include pre-screening, preparing for transport, and effective communication with patients and radiologists. A state license and ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registrations are required, CPR certification, and being able to train others.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Registered Technologist with ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS.
• Active state license as required.
• CPR certification.
• Active state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic technique, etc.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Orders supplies, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport daily.
• Effectively communicates with customers and radiologists.
• Trains new technologist and/or PC's.

This will be a Part Time position.Our MRI technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure and put them at ease.
