Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist at our Laurinburg, NC facility for a part-time role. The position focuses on patient safety, delivering high quality MR studies, and coordinating with radiologists as needed.

The role may include training new technologists and Patient Coordinators, with various duties such as pre-screening, image production, and equipment preparation. Qualified candidates will hold ARRT/NMTCB or ARDMS certification, a State license, CPR certification, and a high school

• State license required to practice.
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic MR images.

We are currently hiring for an MRI Technologist at our Laurinburg, NC facility. This will be a part time position.

Regional resource responsible for patient safety and the performance of high quality MR studies. Insures effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary.

In some instances, trains new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Orders supplies, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport on a daily basis.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologist and/or PC's

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS
• State License

Licensed Radiologic Technologist or Magnetic Resonance Technologist, if applicable.

• Technologists performing mid-day moves
• State license, as required.
• CPR certification.
• Active state driver’s license.

Preferred Requirements:

• Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
