Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist at our Raleigh, NC facility for a full-time role. The position focuses on regional responsibilities for patient safety and high-quality MR studies, with communication to radiologists as needed.

Responsibilities include pre-screening for contraindications, producing diagnostic MR images, and assisting with supplies and transport readiness. Training of new staff may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS.
• State License required; Radiologic Technologist or Magnetic Resonance Technologist license if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Active state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Patient Safety including pre-screening for contraindications and aseptic technique.
• Produces high quality diagnostic MR images.
• Orders supplies, cleans unit, and assists in transport preparation daily.
• Effectively communicates with customers and radiologists.
• Trains new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.

We are currently hiring for an MRI Technologist at our Raleigh, NC facility. This will be a full time position.

Regional resource responsible for patient safety and the performance of high quality MR studies. Insures effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary. In some instances, trains new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Orders supplies, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport on a daily basis.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologist and/or PC's

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS
• State License
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist or Magnetic Resonance Technologist, if applicable.
• Technologists performing mid-day moves
• State license, as required.
• CPR certification.
• Active state driver’s license.

Preferred Requirements:

• Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
