Job summary

Piedmont Rockdale Hospital in Conyers, GA seeks a dedicated MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI examinations under the supervision of a Radiologist. You will provide patient care across neonatal to geriatrics and adhere to safety and imaging standards.

Requirements include AMA or JRCERT education, ARRT credentialing, and BLS on hire. Prior MRI experience is preferred; no travel. This position is based in the Radiology Department at Piedmont Rockdale Hospital.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital‑based training program Required
• No experience required
• 6 months as an MRI Technologist Preferred
• (R) ARDMS or ARRT - Radiographer Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R) Upon Hire Required and
• BLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required

Responsibilities

• Imaging MRI studies under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist.
• Provide patient care to all age groups from neonatal to geriatrics.
• Follow prescribed standards to ensure accurate imaging and patient safety.

Overview

Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954. We offer 24‑hour emergency services, including interventional cardiology, critical care, obstetrics, and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). We are a Primary Stroke Center with on‑site neurohospitalists. In addition to traditional medical and surgical services, we proudly provide subspecialized care from fellowship‑trained providers in advanced gastroenterology and medical and surgical oncology as well as colorectal, breast, thoracic, orthopedic and robotic surgery.

Responsibilities

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
