Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI examinations under the direct supervision of a Radiologist. You will image anatomical and physiologic conditions and ensure adherence to safety standards while providing compassionate patient care across all age groups.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, selecting appropriate imaging sequences, maintaining equipment, and following prescribed protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire.
• AR DMS or ARRT radiography registration upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations under the direct guidance of the Radiologist.
• Image anatomical and/or physiologic conditions to aid diagnosis.
• Provide patient care to all age groups, from neonatal to geriatrics.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
